To assist us manage and deal with serious accidents or day to day towing, we operate the latest type of recovery or damage free underlift towing equipment. When a commercial vehicle has been deemed as needing recovery, either by one of our commercial roadside mechanics or a third party, no task is too big for our Heavy Recovery Team.

V1 - Volvo FM12 Underlift -

Based on a Volvo FM12 chassis, this vehicle has been equipped with a Roger Dyson Brimec Commander underlift system with additional rear Pioneer axle. This allows the underlift to out lift a large number of more conventional recovery vehicles as the weight is transplaced between the middle of the two rear most axles. With this pioneer axle lifted the vehicle has an amazingly tight turning circle similar to a 4x2 tractor unit for manoeuvring in tight locations.

It is equipped with functionality in mind with all lift and tow equipment in a logical order in its nearside lockers to minimise loading times. This is combined with a rear facing rear camera linked to the satellite navigation system which allows an operator to pull up in front of a casualty, remotely control the boom whilst watching the rear camera and position themselves ready for the first lift of the casualty, ready to suspend tow as soon as possible.

V2 - DAF CF Underlift -

Our DAF CF is fitted with a Dyson 9515 fixed boom conversion, top recovery boom, dual Ramsey hydraulic winches, rear stiff legs, detachable light commercial underlift, hydraulic tilt facility, range of lifting attachments, commercial wheel grids, van and car wheel grids, steel body locker system, snatch blocks with storage, propshaft storage, L.E.D beacons and strobes, this vehicle can deal with anything from cars/vans right up to mid sized commercials, a truly versatile recovery vehicle.

V3 - DAF CF85 Trident Underlift -

Based upon a DAF CF tractor unit, this vehicle has been stretched and modified to a 6x2 configuration. It has then been fitted with the latest cutting edge Boniface Trident equipment

Firstly, the underlift is an ultra slimline maxireach specification. This gives it one of the longest reaches in its class allowing it to peform complex lifting tasks that would be unachievable with poorer quality equipment such as rear end lifts of latest design mega-coaches and loaded 8 wheeler tipper lorries.

The recovery equipment fitted to this vehicle is also of a top class standard, the Trident top boom has three massive extensions, this allows the boom to be extended out to a substantial distance for lifting operations without having to detatch the underlift as with previous kit which makes clearing the carriageway much quicker.

V7- Volvo FM12 Sliding Rotator -

Based on a Volvo FM12 chassis with low line cab to combat the large amount of low bridges in operational areas, this vehicle has been equipped with a Dyson NRC 50/65SR Sliding Rotator Incident Manager, removable NRC Tag Axle system. It has a removeable Super Heavy Duty Maxi-reach underlift, low profile fully hydraulic outrigger stabilisers with road pads (203" spread), fully proportional remote control, programmable computer controlled hydraulic system, 3 stage recovery boom, 360 degree continuous rotation, dual 45,000lbs planetary 2-speed hydraulic winches, dual auxiliary 20,000lbs hydraulic winches, air cable tensioners, air free spool, air activated slew locks, 360 degree sheave heads, anti twist device, self leveling system, commercial wheel grids, full complement of lifting attachments and chains, prop shaft stowage, snatch blocks & stowage, full amber beacons with front and rear strobes and much more, the daddy of heavys, this vehicle and its operator can deal with anything thrown at it.

V12 - Mercedes Actros Underlift-

Supplied by Boniface Engineering on a Mercedes 1844 topline 4x2 stretched tractor unit, it comes fitted with an Century 5130 underlift with twin hydrualics winches, stiff legs and top boom. This vehicle was designed to cope with the majority of the day to day lift and tow recoveries in the mid to heavy range as well as being a compact winching unit when required in tight locations and it has proven to more than match for the tasks in hand.

 

 



V88 - Sliding Axle Trailer -

The Belgian designed Trax Trailer was supplied through our friends at Boniface Engineering and has a payload on recovery duties of up to 50 tonnes. This allows us to move fully freighted commercial vehicles including tippers and articulated vehicles to a place of safety quickly and efficiently and get the traffic moving again.

The ingenious design allows the axles to be drawn up under the trailer on a hydraulic carriage, which in turn allows the bed of the trailer to be tilted, the tail gate folded down and a casualty can be loaded onto the back of the bed of the trailer.

Heavy Slidebeds

The company has four of heavy slidebed vehicles of various configurations. These are utilised to provide full lift recovery for vehicles in the 2.5 to 7.5 tonne range. Two of these vehicles are fitted with lorry loader cranes, and also provide accident recovery and crane recovery services and all have a payload ranging between 4.5 and 9.5 tonnes.

Heavy Speclifts

Based on an Isuzu NQR chassis, this speclift is utilised in the "big van" category of Mercedes Sprinters, Ford Transits, Daily's and VW LT range of panel vans, this vehicles make recovery of this size of vehicle simple and straight forward.
