Major Incidents

Clearing major highways The major incident team is a select group of individuals drawn from the various operator teams that make up McAllisters Recovery. They range in age, skills and experience. Ready at a moments notice, they respond quickly to any major incident to clear it quickly and effectively.

It is team that responds to the incidents that make up the 'BIG job of the month'. The team is made up of ten people, available on rotation 24 hours a day to meet the needs of primarily our Police and Highways contract's needs for major incident recovery and any major customer on the LGV accident management scheme.

When the team attends a major incident the first on the scene is the Quick Response Vehicle used to assess Scene. This is usually the Ex police Volvo T5. Now that we have 'eyes on the ground' the incident supervisor makes an informed decision on the equipment and personnel required to attend.
