Isuzu Spec Refurb

Isuzu Speclift Crewcab Gets A New Lease of Life - April 2010

We've had this vehicle since new when it was purchased in late 2004. It has proved to be a reliable, versatile workhorse in the 6 years its already notched up at macs so rather than replacement a refurb was granted to keep the loyal servant in service for a while yet. The bodywork and speclift was tidied up and repainted and then the vehicle was resignwritten in the standard company livery to ensure full compliance with the PAS43 standard. We hope the vehicle continues its long service with the company and proves the famous reliability of the Isuzu brand as a workhorse in a tough industry.

New Landrover

Daycab Landy Joins the Fleet - Arrived March 2010

As part of our winter plan we rented in a number of 4x4 vehicles to assist with the difficult workloads created in the extreme snow conditions experienced in January and February. Our ex-British Army landy we bought back in May last year proved to be worth its weight in gold so adding another to the fleet for future was a must. The vehicle is a shortwheel based Landrover 90 fitted with a front mounted hydraulic winch and off road winching kit. We are taking the view that snow is likely to re-occur in years to come and we are doing all we can to ensure our service levels remain at their usual high levels.

Renault Midlum Heavy Slidebed and Iveco Accident Unit

Iveco Accident Unit - Arrived April 2009

We have recently taken delivery of a brand new Iveco 18 tonne GVM chassis fitted with a 21 metre tonne Copma Lorry Loader crane, heavy duty slidebed and also has a medium range underlift supplied by Boniface Engineering. The whole combination makes for an ideal bespoke accident unit for use on the M25 and M3 for the police and Highways Agency. We also added a new clamshell grab bucket (pictured on a pallet on the bed ready for transport to a scene) which normally waits at our Leatherhead depot along with our Bobcat and other load management equipment. This allows us to begin clearing a scene that has large amounts of debris as a result of LGV accident with a spilled load, thus reducing the overall clear up time and getting carriageway opening again sooner whilst waiting for our sub-contractors to arrive with skips and roll on roll off bins etc.

Renault Midlum Heavy Slider - Arrived May 2009

We have also acquired a new 12 tonne Renault Midlum, with factory fitted crew cab, heavy duty slide bed, second car lift and also fully equipped as a roadside assistance vehicle, supplied by Boniface Engineering. The vehicle is now working back to back with a similar sized vehicle on the strategic road network primarily for the Highways Agency, Police and motoring organisations to ensure that we are able to recover up to 4.5 tonnes with up to 6 passengers with ease and get the carriageway flowing again.
